RUFINA MEDRANO Rufina was born on June 27, 1940 in the Philippines. She died peacefully Monday, January 30, 2006 on her own terms. She will be sadly missed by her siblings, the late Estaneslao, Aurelia, Saturnino, Francing and her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand-nephews. Rufina was well known to the Filipino community as Manang, when she ran the family grocery store. She was a selfless, loving and loyal person. She enjoyed sewing, travelling, watching boxing and spending time with her grandkids. She lived a long, full life and we take comfort in knowing that she is happy now in God's Kingdom. A big heartfelt thank you to homecare and the 5th floor staff at Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care. We love you Auntie and look forward to the time when we are together again. There will be a viewing and mass on Friday, February 3 between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Funeral services to be held on Saturday, February 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Knysh, with internment to follow at Thomson in the Park on Waverley Rd. at the Garden of Peace. Immediately after, please join us for a reception at the Church of the Living Hope, 235 Enniskillen Ave.
